Items to bring:
* Collar & Lead
* Enough Food your dog/s usually eat each day
* Medications if they are required (sorry no injections type medications)
Optional Items to bring:
* Harness (if you have one, makes it a lot easier to walk or handle a dog)
* Their own brush and medication shampoo if required
* Their favourite bedding or blanket if they might need soothing and comfort items
* Favourite toy to play with
* Specific dietry snacks or treats
* Own dinner dish or bowl if a fussy eater from other dishes
Please bring enough food, which your dog usually eats per day, for the entire length of your dogs stay. Some dogs are on strict diets or are allergic to certain foods so we only feed your dog what you approve of. The introduction to new food quickly usually results in the dog to have an upset stomach or diarrhea and can stress the dog out and us during its' stay.
Upon booking we take details to which treats and snacks your dog is allowed or prefer. We do have a range of standard dog treats on hand (Liver Treats, pigs ears and Schmackos), but again will only feed your dog what you allow. You are welcome to include some of your dogs treats if you wish or if they are of a particular dietary requirement. We also ask if the dog is allowed any sneaky table scraps as we are a big family here with all dogs that stay.
Please make sure your dog has it's collar on with up to date council registrations just in case of any emergencies. I do supply leads, but if you wish to bring along their leads that is helpful to. Harnesses and halters for walking you dog make it easier to control any eager dogs while on walks, so please if they have a particular Halter or Harness for walks, please pack that with you.
If your dog has a favourite blanket or bed and it is easy to transport, please bring that along. Anything to make your dog feel comfortable and relaxed here is always a plus. Though I do have spare blankets and dog beds and if your dog is well trained they can even sleep in the beds with us. :)
Please pack your dogs favourite toy or toys as this can also help your dog settle in and get to know us better if we can play with them with one of their favourite toys. We do have on hand a range of toys to play with, but sometimes they only want their favourite toy.
Definitely do not forget to pack any medications your dog needs. When booking in, we ask if your dog has any medical problems that require medications while staying with us. We can apply creams and administer tablets, sorry just no injections. Make sure there is enough doses and medications are up to date before packing.
We supply a set of dinner and water bowls, so it is not necessary to pack yours. Though if your dog only eats out of a certain bowl, you are welcome to bring it along.
No need to bring along any poo bags or pee mats, we have a supply here for any puppy needing mats. We also are a stockist of "Oh Crap" Bio Degradable and environmentally friendly Poo Bags if you need to stock up at home.
We ask if you are able, please pack your dogs shampoo in case your dog is in need of an emergency bath. With some dogs with special skin issue it is always good to use their own shampoo to not irritate their skin issues further. Also if they require a brush down every now and then, best to pack their dog brush too.
